Jamestown Falls At Clarence

CLARENCE — Will Hurwitz threw a complete game and Clarence scored seven runs in the fourth inning en route to a 14-2 Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 win over Jamestown on Monday.

Hurwitz struck out four and did not walk a batter in a four-hitter for the Red Devils (6-1, 4-1). Jack Putney had two hits and two RBIs; Matt Brown had two hits and two runs scored; and Isaiah Corry doubled while scoring three runs for the hosts.

Jamestown’s Sal Carmona had a pinch-hit RBI double in the seventh inning to break up the shutout.
