UTICA — Three area high school football standouts have been invited to participate in the Power 50 Showcase, which will be held March 16 at the Utica College Sports Dome.

Receiving the invitation are Cameron Barmore and Gerrit Hinsdale of Class D state-champion Clymer/Sherman/Panama, and Jamestown’s Savon VanSickle.

The invite-only event, sponsored by Prospect New York State, is designed to bring athletes together from across New York, allowing players the opportunity to compete in one central location against the best competition.

Partnering with Varsity Media, the showcase will be live-streamed at www.youtube.com/varsitymedia. Players will compete in combine drills, individual positional skills and face off in several one-on-one drills. Awards will be presented for each position at the conclusion of the event.

Prospect New York State obtains data from high school coaches and athletes at no cost.
