Hot Shooting Sends Jackals To Easy Win

The Jamestown Jackals claimed a 121-99 win Saturday night over the New York Court Kings in The Basketball League play at the Physical Education Complex on the campus of Jamestown Community College.

The hosts enjoyed a strong shooting performance draining 57.7 of their field goals while going 15-of-29 from beyond the arc.

DeAngelo Stewart led the winners with 28 points, four assists and five rebounds while James Helton collected 23 points, five assists and 12 rebounds.

Daniel Mulamba led the Jackals on the boards with 15 rebounds in addition to 7 points and four blocks. Jamestown led in the rebounding department, 49-34.

Leroy Fludd led New York with 29 points and two assists, while Sidiki Johnson added 21 pointsand 11 boards to complete the double-double.

Jamestown carried a lead for more than 45 minutes, at one point holding a 37-point margin. The Jackals also received 35 points off their bench.

Jamestown returns to action at 3 p.m. today when it entertains Mequite at 3 p.m.
