Rebels Rebound Behind Keane, Blank New Jersey On Road
MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — Jamestown was able to rebound from a shootout loss on Friday evening with a 2-0 shutout over New Jersey on Saturday in North American Hockey League action.
Alex Roy earned the first goal for the Rebels at 15:17 of the first period off an assist by Eric Olson.
Ian Carpenter made it 2-0 seven minutes into the third with his first goal of the season, while Connor Linton earned his sixth assist.
Ryan Keane was named the first star for his 32-save shutout performance.
Jamestown is now 21-10-3-2 on the season and nine points ahead of the third-place Titans (19-17).
The Rebels will host Maryland at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Northwest Arena.
