Morales Memorial Wrestling Tourney Begins Tonight

The best grapplers from the Southern Tier will be heading Falconer Central School this afternoon to begin the Patrick J. Morales Memorial Wrestling Tournament.

The host Golden Falcons will lead the way with four No. 1 seeds, starting off with 99 pounds, where Brayden Newman is the man to beat, followed by Martin Ohlsson of Chautauqua Lake at No. 2 and teammate Austin Chase at No. 2.

Trent Burchanowski of Chautauqua Lake is the No. 1 man at 106, followed by Lucas Munsee of Corry, Pa. at No. 2 and Lucas Baer of Maple Grove at No. 3.

At 113 pounds, Logan Jaquay of Eisenhower leads the way, Will Eaton of Sweet Home is No. 2 and Kayden Reyda of Corry is No. 3.

Maple Grove’s Luke Tomlinson is No. 1 at 120, followed by Harley Morris of Kane, Pa. and Login Dehner of Clarence at No. 3.

Tyler Le of Cheektowaga is the top seed at 126, followed by Easton Hedman of Eisenhower, Pa. and Hunter Teboe of Falconer/Cassadaga Valley.

Miles Knuckles of Akron/Coventry, Pa. is the man to beat at 132, followed by No. 2 Austin Bourgeois of Chautauqua Lake and Brendon Ramsey of Chautauqua Lake at No. 3.

Jimmy Kramer leads the hosts at 138, while Noah Blankenship is at No. 2 for Kane and Josh Bortz of Eisenhower is at No. 3.

Derek Ecklund leads Chautauqua Lake at No. 1 at 145, followed by Nick Saeger of Falconer/Cassadaga Valley and Garrett Head of Eisenhower.

Aiden Hulings is the top man a 152 for Kane, followed by Sam Grey of Cattaraugus-Little Valley and Bryce Baglia of Falconer/Cassadaga Valley.

Alec English of Kane is the top man at 160, followed by Liam Fagan of Akron/Coventry and Alex Barnett of Eisenhower.

Akron/Coventry has the man to beat at 170 with Kaleb Shank earning the No. 1 spot, followed by Cameron Whisner of Kane and Nick Marsh of Frewsburg.

Robbie Penhollow is No. 1 at 182 pounds for the hosts, while Austin Hinzman of Akron/Coventry is No. 2 and Teddy Race of Kane No. 3. Cael Black of Eisenhower is No. 1 at 195, followed by No. 2 Hayden Linkerhof of Corry and No. 3 Kyle Trim of Maple Grove.

Ty Stahli of Kane is No. 1 at 220, followed by No. 2 Jacob Zachar of Randolph and No. 3 Josef Bauer of Eisenhower.

Collin Mower rounds out the top No. 1 seeds for the host Golden Falcons, earning the top spot at 285.

Kyler Barnett of Akron/Coventry is No. 2 and Mason Pagett of Randolph is No. 3.
