JHS Bowlers Post Sweep Over Trojans

Jamestown was a 4-0 winner over Southwestern in both boys and girls CCAA Division 1 West bowling action on Wednesday evening.

In the boys match, the Red Raiders tossed a 771-991-883-2,645 as Riley Piazza rolled a 176-179-182-537, Colton Cappalino a 160-176-146-482 and Camden Austin a 146-180-151-477.

Southwestern finished with a 613-657-666-1,936 as Alex Nelson led the way with a 171-165-205-541 and Hans Vanderzyden rolled a 129-179-148-456.

Jamestown is now 20-4 while Southwestern fell to 4-28.

In girls action, Jamestown (14-10) was led by a 711-757-740-2,208 team final as Emily Ryberg hit a 157-153-180-490 and Abbie Derby rolled a 164-158-135-457. Southwestern (4-28) hit a 503-530-525-1,558 total as Morgan Wilson fired a 146-147-181-474 while Natalie Milner shot a 139-137-140-416.



Dunkirk (31-1) bested Fredonia (17-11), 4-0, with a linescore of 886-838-921-2,645.

Leading the winners was Rachael Glowniak with a 237-203-231-671 while Hannah Ellman hit a 159-158-176-493.

Fredonia tossed a combined 690-686-695-2,071 as Gillian Reed led with a 138-139-175-452, while Allie Cook spun a 159 game.
