Red Raiders Open With Bowling Sweeps
Jamestown opened its season with matching 4-0 wins over Chautauqua Lake in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 bowling Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.
In girls action, the Red Raiders rolled a 694-684-751-2,129 behind Abbie Derby’s 513 series and Emily Ryberg’s 192 game.
The Thunderbirds (0-8) rolled a linescore of 334-421-369-1,124.
In boys action, Jack Christensen had a 201-555 while Colton Cappalino spilled a 195-532 as the Red Raiders rolled a linescore of 898-934-1,024-2,836. Kyle Christensen added single games of 247 and 256 while Austin Aldrich drilled a 236.
The Thunderbirds (0-8) had a linescore of 395-453-399-1,247.

FALCONER GIRLS WIN
Fredonia’s boys rolled nine individual 200 games en route to a 4-0 sweep of Falconer in Division 1 action at Jamestown Bowling Company.
Bryson Pacos had a 226-209-613; Mike Dispense rolled a 226-212-213-651; Trace MacKenzie had a 218-245-646; Jacob Patterson had a 226; and Jacob Marsh had a 201 as the Hillbillies (8-0) rolled a team linescore of 992-1,001-998-2,991.
Jon Zdunski led the Golden Falcons (4-4) with a 222-601. Other high games were rolled by Brandon Johnson (194, 196), Matt Bowman (223), Matt Gullotti (212) and Nic Houston (187) as Falconer totaled an 836-963-928-2,727.
Beth Brown’s 203-185-522 led the Falconer girls to a 3-1 win over Fredonia.
Amelia Sprague added a 169 game for the Golden Falcons (7-1), who rolled a linescore of 792-666-656-2,114.

FREWSBURG BOYS TOP HORNETS
FREWSBURG — Forestville’s girls won their third straight match to begin the year with a 4-0 Division 2 sweep of Frewsburg at Frewsburg Lanes.
The Hornets (12-0) managed a score of 636-650-586-1,872 while Frewsburg tallied 577-557-540-1,674.
Ashley Forbes led Forestville with a 203-518. Tristan Olsen had a 192-488.
Katelyn Bean had a 164-475 to lead the Bears (0-4) while Brianna Warner had a 159-460.
Frewsburg won the boys match, 3-1, behind a linescore of 883-869-862-2,583.
Malik Williams led the Bears (7-1) with a 225-575 while Brendan Randall had a 221-562 series. Jared Walsh turned in a 201-557.

CARDINALS SWEEP BROCTON
FREDONIA — Tyler Rowley had a 202-182-520 to lead the Randolph boys to a 4-0 win over Brocton in Division 2 action at Lucky Lanes.
Kameron Finch added 182 and 171 games as the Cardinals finished with a 721-758-787-2,266.
Jordan Krystofiak led all bowlers with a 202-202-552 and Savanna Krystofiak had games of 172 and 155 for the Bulldogs (0-8), who finished with a linescore of 78-693-666-1,937.
BLACK KNIGHTS PREVAIL
CUTTING — Silver Creek’s boys and girls teams both took home Division 2 wins over Clymer/Sherman at Cutting Lanes to start their seasons.
For the boys, the Black Knights (4-4) posted a 718-765-696-2,179 linescore to beat Clymer/Sherman’s 536-422-484-1,442, 4-0.
Leading the way for the Silver Creek was Dan Paterson’s 215-231-186-632.
For the girls, the Black Knights won, 3-1, behind a team linescore of 527-497-523-1,547. Clymer/Sherman finished with a 529-483-490-1,503.
The Black Knights (3-9) were led by Andrea Olsen (170-176-488) and Laneya Olsen (167-446).
