Two members of the Southwestern Trojans football team are among the 10 finalists for the William R. Connolly Memorial Cup, which has been presented annually to Western New York’s outstanding high school player since 1972.

Joining the Trojans’ Cole Snyder and Alex Card at the luncheon and press conference at Ilio DiPaolo’s Restaurant in Blasdell on Dec. 1 will be Keshone Beal of Cheektowaga, Aaron Wahler of Cleveland Hill, Mike Rigerman of Pioneer, Jacob Ritts of St. Francis, Aaron Chase of Starpoint, Shaun Dolac of West Seneca East, John Speyer of West Seneca West and Dylan Kelly of Williamsville North.

Past local winners of the award are Roberto Amoroso, David Hinson, Aaron Leeper, Jake Sisson and Stephen Carlson of Jamestown; Jehuu Caulcrick of Clymer; and Zack Sopak of Southwestern.
