Carter To Fight Professionally Nov. 21

Davmond Carter of Jamestown, pictured above, is preparing for his first professional boxing bout on Nov. 21 in Youngstown, Ohio. Carter, 25, trains with the YMCA youth boxing program under coaches Joe Ortiz and Chip Swanson, and will enter his first pro fight as a heavyweight. Carter sports and amateur record of 91-4, and has won national Silver Gloves titles on two separate occasions as well as a Golden Gloves Championship. Carter competed in the Olympic trials in both 2012 and 2016 and most recently claimed the North Eastern Ohio Super Heavyweight Championship.
