ALLEGANY — Ronan McDonald and Kylee Odell led their respective teams to championships at the Southern Tier Classic cross country race at Allegany-Limestone on Saturday morning.

McDonald finished in 16:52.9 to lead the Randolph boys to the team title with 49 points. The host Gators took second with 50 points while St. Mary’s of Lancaster took third with 70 points.

Odell toured the course in 18:30 to lead Clymer/Sherman/Panama to the girls team title with 53 points. Silver Creek took second place with 64 points and the host Gators were third with 89 points.

Following McDonald for the Cardinals were Joshua Walters in third place (17:30.4), Christian Riethmiller in eighth (17:48.3), Roan Kelly in 19th (18:54.5) and Riley Clark in 32nd (20:04.6).

Helping Odell and the Wolfpack to the girls team title were Hannah Schauman in 13th (20:47), Leighanne Swan in 14th (20:55.6), Anneke White in 15th (21:01.6) and Mackenzie Gratto in 18th (21:26.1).

Clymer/Sherman/Panama’s Hunter Wassink finished second, Allegany-Limestone’s Jacob Brink was fourth and Cattaraugus-Little Valley’s Drew Braden was fifth in the boys race.

Silver Creek’s Ellie Decker was second, Allegany-Limestone’s Angelina Napolean was third, Buffalo Seminary’s Zoe Knauss was fourth and Hornell’s Carter Brown was fifth in the girls race.
