Jamestown Suffers Volleyball Setback

Orchard Park (14-3, 9-1) was a 25-19, 25-11, 25-10 winner over Jamestown (3-9, 1-8) in Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division I volleyball on Thursday.

Abby Ryan had 10 kills, two aces and four digs for the winners while Sarah Lucas collected 25 assists and five digs.

Giovana Calamunci had six kills and four blocks; Lexi Salvaggio five digs; and Izzy Knapp three aces with three assists for the Red Raiders.

PANAMA IMPROVES

TO 16-0

CLYMER — Panama moved to 16-0 on the season with an 25-8, 25-12, 23-25, 25-12 win over Clymer (6-9, 4-8).

Natalie Angeletti paced the winners with 15 kills, six blocks, three digs, two aces and 14 points; Kylie Schnars had 10 kills, four blocks, five points and one ace; while Maddie Johnson added 27 assists, two digs, five points and one ace.

Ashley Covey had nine digs, one ace and had three points; Kate Honey had two kills, three blocks, 12 digs and one ace; while Arden Hepler added nine blocks and a kill for Clymer.

T’BIRDS PREVAIL

Chautauqua Lake defeated Sherman, 25-13, 25-18, and 25-18.

For Chautauqua Lake, Olivia Anderson had 13 kills, eight aces and two blocks; Lily Woodis had two aces, five digs, 14 assists, and two blocks; and Abbie Henry had four kills and eight digs.

For Sherman, Teddi Hayes had two kills, four assists, four digs, and two aces; Amaya Lewczyk had six kills, two blocks, four digs and 2 aces; Rowan Fisher had three digs and one ace.
