FREWSBURG — Southwestern (2-1) topped Frewsburg (1-2), 1-0, in non-league soccer action thanks to a lone tally from Allison Lundmark.

Kylie Brown picked up the assist on Lundmark’s goal, which came 13 minutes into the second half.

Hannah Johnson collected saves for the winners, including a stop on a breakaway with10 minutes remaining in the opening period.

Gianna Hoose and Hannah Sholl led the Trojan defense, while Alyssa Lobb made 10 saves in the Frewsburg net.

SALAMANCA PREVAILS

SALAMANCA — Salamanca (1-3) picked up a 3-2 win over Cassadaga Valley (0-1), thanks to goals by Aly Hill, Ryleigh John and Heather Donaldson.

Rachel Chamberlain added two assists in the win and Hayli Wilson had one.

Tara Cratsley scored the first goal for Cassadaga in the 33rd minute of the first half, while Grace Elder added the second on an assist from Sarah Meder.

Alexis Palmeri made six saves in the win while Jessie Morrison stopped nine shots for the Cougars.

EAGLES FALL

OLEAN — Olean (2-1) was an 8-1 winner over Ellicottville (0-2) thanks to five goals from Calista Heister and single tallies from Justine Brooks, Alexis Gibbons and Lydia Hendrix.

Heister grabbed two assists, as did Reagan Stitt and Brooks while Marina Miketish had a lone helper in the win.

Mandy Hurlburt scored an unassisted tally for Ellicottville, while Harley Ficek had two saves.

Kayla O’Connor made five saves in the win.
