Foley Scores Four As Dragons Roll In Dunkirk

DUNKIRK — Caleb Foley scored a pair of goals in each half to lead Maple Grove past Dunkirk, 7-1, in non-league boys soccer Saturday.

Tristan Spillane opened the scoring from Kevin Ruhlman before Jack Novotny scored from Nick Golando for the Red Dragons (9-0, 5-0 CCAA Central). Foley then added his first goal of the morning from Golando before scoring his second from Alex MacCallum.

After the break, Golando scored from Foley before Foley tallied from Golando and Marshall Cresanti.

The four goals give Foley 17 on the season while Spillane has seven and Novotny has six.

Sam Cummings made two saves in net for Maple Grove.

Gustavo Mendoza scored for the Marauders (1-6-2, 0-4-1), who had a pair of goalkeepers combine for 10 saves.

BURIES THREE

Chase Stevenson netted his fourth hat trick of the season to help Southwestern beat Chautauqua Lake, 7-1, in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Central Division action.

McKay Young scored from Bryce Deering before Drew Keppel and Max Vaughn scored unassisted goals for the Trojans (8-0-1, 4-0-1). Stevenson then scored three goals in a row with two coming on assists from Michael Cammarata and the third from Marcus Kautzman. Deering completed the scoring for Southwestern from Kade Sivak.

Alex Gleason scored for the Thunderbirds (2-4-2, 2-3-0).
