Young, Burch Lead Asquith Tour At Riverside GC

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. — Dave Young fired a 73 and Ken Burch was a plus-10 to lead the White A Flight during the Asquith Senior Tour’s stop at Riverside Golf Course on Monday.

Ted Charles was second at plus-6 while Randy Carlson also had a plus-6.

Paul Bell and Dave Gerringer both shot 88s to lead the White B Flight. Brian Shannon was plus-6 to take first place while Fran Dexter was second at plus-4. Paul Bell and Joe Mattee tied for third with plus-3s.

In the Gold A Flight, Ron Juzdowski shot a 79 and was a plus-8. Bill Hart was second at plus-7 and Jim Phillips was third at plus-6.

In the Gold B Flight, Joe McCourt led with a 79 and a plus-13. Bruce Carlson was second at plus-5 and Tom McGann was third at plus-5.

Jim Caronia and John Depew tied for low honors in the Gold C Flight with 87s. Caronia was also plus-8 while Depew was plus-7 and Bill Derby was plus-5.

In the Gold D Flight, Charlie Stafford was plus-8 while Don Maxson fired a 90. Ed Potter was second at plus-8 while Maxson and Jim Polvino were plus-7 each.

Closest to the pin honors went to Bill Kestler on No. 3, Bill Cross on No. 6, Ken Burch on No. 8, Jim Wirges on No. 11 and Potter on No. 13.
