Falconer Little League won the Area B championship by defeating Bemus Point, 5-2, on Saturday.

Donovan Delaney and Josh Holmberg combined to strike out 16 batters and allow only four hits. Austin Pfeiffer led Falconer’s offense with two hits and Holmberg helped his own cause with a home run.

Ethan Verbosky had three hits, including a double and a triple, for Bemus Point. Ty Kraft also had double.

The Jamestown Babe Ruth 13-year-old All-Stars captured the Western New York State championship over the weekend in Buffalo. The title earned them a berth in the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
