The final match was the difference as Panama (3-0) defeated Maple Grove (1-1), 3-2, in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Tennis League on Friday afternoon.

Matt Apthorpe and Claire Helmburg defeated the second-doubles team of Lawton Tranum and Kampbell Howard, 6-4, 6-1, in over two plus hours to give the Panthers the victory.

Carson Helmburg and Quinn Payne won the first two singles for Panama, Reid Wight took third singles for Maple Grove and Ben Cresanti and Wyatt Chriest claimed first doubles for the Red Dragons, setting the stage for Apthorpe and Helmburg.
