Both members of St. Bonaventure’s backcourt the past two seasons, point guard Jaylen Adams and shooting guard Matt Mobley, will play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament this week.
The PIT is an invitation-only event for seniors who have exhausted their college eligibility. It will be held Wednesday to Saturday at the Churchland High School sports complex in Portsmouth, Virginia. This is the PIT’s 66th year.
A total of 64 players will compete in the event, which annually features some of the nation’s most decorated seniors. They will compete in front scouts and talent evaluators from NBA teams as well as European leagues.
Adams and Mobley are not on the same team and will actually play against each other on Thursday at 7 p.m.
