Xpress Upend Wooster, 4-1

WOOSTER, Ohio — Four different players scored goal as the Southern Tier Xpress (11-19) defeated the Wooster Oilers, 4-1, in the North American Tier III Hockey League on Saturday night at the Alice Noble Ice Arena.

Michael Keller and Tristan Mock each scored their sixth goal of the season in the first period to get the Xpress off to a good start.

Keller scored off passes from Nic Allen and Mickenzie Restle on a power play at 14:51 and Mock converted a pass from Jacob Zwieg at 10:23.

Wooster sliced the deficit in half on Grant Dickinson’s fifth goal from Justin King and Matt Crosby at 11:57 of the second period.

Restle scored his 18th goal from Mock and Reginald Hunter at 11:31 of the third stanza and Joe Gerace got his ninth from Mike Lamison and Brian Grant at 14:20 to close out the scoring.

Ryan Pascarella had 31 saves in picking up the win while Justyn Gillis and Michael Hubbard had 35 saves in the loss.

The teams play at 1 p.m. today.
