Another Hat Trick By Pearson Leads Xpress To Victory

ROCHESTER — Stuart Pearson has picked up back-to-back hat tricks for the Southern Tier Xpress, with his most recent three-goal campaign leading the team to a 9-4 win over Roc City on Friday night.

The Xpress improved to 13-19 on the year in North American Tier III Hockey League play and will host the Royals at 7 tonight.

“We had some good transition rushes going to the front of the net and were able to execute on some drives going down the middle of the ice,” said coach Lou Santini.

Southern Tier’s coach credits the chemistry of Pearson with linemates Jacob Gerace and Michael Lamison with the recent scoring streak.

“I think it is the three of them, Lamison, Gerace and Pearson. They are clicking and moving the puck well,” he said.

Gerace ended his night with five assists while Southern Tier tallies also came from Jacob Zweig, Nic Allen, James Lowry, Mark Mezsargs, Tristan Mock and Lamison.

Goaltender Ryan Pascarella made 16 saves in the victory.
