Trojans Post Swim Win Over Panama
Even without a double winner, Southwestern got its swimming and diving season off on the right foot by downing Panama, 107-78, in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association on Tuesday night.
The host Lady Trojans took eight of the 12 events en route to a win.
Maddy Nelson, Megan Seeley, Grace Wood and Katia Kranzo led the Lady Trojans to a opening win in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:01.22. Seeley went on to win the 200 individual medley (2:22.38) and Wood claimed the 200 freestyle (2:06.70).
Karianne Yuchnitz won the 50 freestyle in 25:26 and the 100 freestyle in 55:44; Abi Lisciandro won the diving with a pool-record 236.25 points; and Izzi Bailey captured the 500 freestyle in 5:58.98.
Also for the Lady Trojans, Evelyn Rowan set a personal best in diving and Kranzo recorded a personal best in the 100 breaststroke.

FREWSBURG — Frewsburg earned a 135-47 win over Salamanca by virtue of wins in all three relays and a pair of wins from Kiah Johnson, Madison Kramer and Kayle Constantino.
Johnson claimed the 50-meter freestyle in 29.79, and the 100-meter freestyle in 1:06.72; Kramer took the 100-meter butterfly (1:18.86) and the 100-meter backstroke (1:16.25); while Constantino captured the 100-meter breaststroke (1:27.67) and the 200-meter medley (3:07.83).
Frewsburg claimed 10 of 12 events.
