JAYVEE DIVISION

Aiden Samuelson scored twice and had 135 yards rushing as the West Side Panthers defeated Fredonia, 35-6, in the season opener.

Dominic Gonzalez tallied on runs of 31 and 36 yards in addition to tossing two two-point conversion passes to Sanchez, who started the scoring with a 65-yard touchdown jaunt.

Defensively, Jericho Thagard made 14 tackles, Nick Martin had 12 tackles and two fumble recoveries, Cole Anderson collected 10 tackles, Justin Martin added seven and Eli DeLeon had five for the winners.

Dunkirk scored on the last play of game for a 26-25 victory over the North Side Warriors.

Dante James had 279 yards rushing and four touchdowns plus converted an extra point for North Side.

Ayden Bergman and Jvion Barr split 60 yards rushing in the win.

James made eight tackles, and Julian Hultin, Chris Irizary, J.J. Robinson-Payne and Tavion Goodlow had seven each for the North Side.

VARSITY DIVISION

Eric Reese Jr. passed for three touchdowns and 284 yards plus made an extra point to lead North Side to a 27-21 victory over Dunkirk.

Xavier Foust added 85 yards and had a touchdown plus a conversion pass from Jack Carlson. Patrick Spencer chipped in with 84 yards rushing as North Side had over 450 yards in total offense.

The offensive line of Martin Baehr, Bishop Butts, Matt Chadwick, Dayton Warren, Jacky Ni and Carson Panebianco paved the way in the win.

Kane Torres and Ison Shirley led the defense with eight stops while Foust, Baehr and Reese had seven apiece.

Adam Kubera, Owen Kearney, Andres Pacheco and Antonine Rodriguez had four tackles apiece.

Caleb Piazza collected 82 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion, as the West Side Panthers lost to Fredonia, 13-8.

Cole Bloomquist had 12 tackles, and Tommy Pratton, Carsen Bane, Connor Bush and Sincere Sellers added five each in the setback. Aiden Senear and Quincy Pace had five stops while Pace and Pratton recovered fumbles.

MODIFIED DIVISION

Josh Bush threw for 162 yards, including touchdown passes of 68 yards to Blake Perry and 64 yards to Javonte Turner, who also gained 114 yards and three scores, as the West Side Panthers prevailed over Fredonia, 34-20.

Jaral Farmer led the defense with 10 tackles, Turner added nine stops, Nick Miraglia and Josh Bush had eight each and Nolan Bush picked off a pass. Root had the only sack and Jordan Berry, Blake Perry, Douglas Beardsley made five stops in the win.

North Side and Dunkirk played to a 16-16 tie.

Andre Maples ran for 126 yards, scored touchdown and had 40 yards receiving from Trey Drake for the North Side. Noah Abram added 95 yards rushing, one touchdown, one placement and 29 yards receiving.

Radon Wright contributed 40 yards rushing and the North Side defense was headed by Julian McGaughy with seven tackles and interception. Maples and Abram split 12 tackles while Jordan Howie and Shiy Kryce Butler also shined. The defense also picked up a safety.
