Young’s 73 Leads Asquith Senior Tour Stop

VOLANT, Pa. — David Young was again the medalist with a 73 in the Asquith Senior Golf Tour stop Monday at Green Meadows Golf Course.

Brian Eckwahl led the White A Flight with a plus-4 followed by Young with a plus-1 and Fran Dexter with a plus-1.

Bruce Blume took the White B Flight with an 86 and plus-8 trailed by Jack Saullo with a plus-7 and Richard Tyler with a plus-4.

Paul Olkowski shot an 81 and led the Gold A Flight with a plus-4 followed by Roger Millspaw with a plus-1 and Dave Allen at minus-1.

Ed Johnson was the Gold B Flight winner with an 86 and a plus-3. Jim Wise was second with a plus-3 and Bruce Carlson was third with a plus-1.

Bryan Champlin shot an 88 and was the leader in the Gold C Flight with a plus-3. John Depew was next with a plus-3 and Dennis Richards also had a plus-3.

James Caronia drilled a 94 for the low round in the Gold D Flight, headed by Boyd Matteson with a plus-10. Ed Potter was next at plus-6 and Chuck Jackson had a plus-5.

George Meier was closest to the pin on No. 3, Pete Pascatore was closest on No. 7, Gary SaGurney was closest on No. 13 and Wise was closest on No. 16.

Next week’s stop is at South Hills Country Club at 9 a.m. on Monday.
