20-Under Wins Eppehimer Open

LAKEWOOD — Matt Edwards, Tim Lutgen, Marcus Lutgen and Ralph Johnson fired a 20-under-par 50 to win the 26th annual Eppehimer Open held recently at Maplehurst Country Club.

Chad Swan, Nick Pace, Shawn Clark and Keith Erickson fired a 14-under-par 56 and claimed second place via a matching of cards over Mark Mills, Fred Mills, Duane Mills and Ken Williams.

Marcus Lutgen hit the longest drive while closest to the pin went to Scott Berry. The closest to the line was Duncan Oleshak and the award for the longest drive with the opposite hand went to Mark Mills.

The event helped to raise money for Youth Missions. Many area businesses helped to sponsor the outing, such as Five Star Bank, Roto Rooter, Lind Funeral Home, Valentine Enterprises, 3 C’s Catering, Hair Port Salon, Jamestown Mattress, Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Frewsburger Pizza Shop, Maplehurst Country Club, The Main Landing, Safelite Autoglass, Mary Crossley-LMT, Lena’s Pizza, Lindsey Refrigeration, Fessenen, Laumer & DeAngelo, Hotel Lenhart, Richards Restaurant, Red Roof Inn- Jamestown, Summer Wind, Trinity Electric, The Dinner Bell, United Industries Inc and the William Farr Agency of Allstate Insurance Company.

The Rev. Keith McEntire of the Nazarene Church gave a short devotional during the dinner time.
