Jammers Down Flames, 15-3

SYRACUSE — Backed by another stellar offensive performance, the Jamestown Jammers rolled to another convincing Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League win Wednesday night, 15-3, over the Onondaga Flames.

Jamestown, which improved its league-best mark to 17-5, scored three runs in the second inning, four in the third, one in the fourth, two in the seventh and five in the eighth en route to its third win in a row.

Collin Stack (University of Maryland-Baltimore County) upped his average to .338 with two more hits while teammate Connor Rule (Kansas State University) contributed two hits as well.

In addition, Chris Stefl (St. John’s University) ripped a three-run double in just his second game of the summer with the Jammers and Christ Conley (Canisius College) upped his average to a team-high .391 after smoking a two-run double.

Nate Grant (St. Bonaventure University) recorded the win on the mound after firing 5• innings.

He struck out six, gave up four hits and was only charged for three runs.

Ryan Boyer (University of Pitt-Bradford), Nolan Hunt (Canisius College) and Casey Vincent (St. Bonaventure University) all saw time out of the bullpen for the Jammers.

A doubleheader in Newark against Pilots awaits the Jammers today before the team returns home for a game on Friday night against the Geneva Red Wings at Diethrick Park.
