Trap Leagues

MacKenzy Glover of Otto-Eldred was the high gun female and Pete Stayer of Portville earned the high gun male in the East Conference of the Southern Tier Youth Trap League.

Glover had a 131 for the top female and Stayer a 142 for the leading male.

Awards and accolades were handed out at the East Conference Fun Day held at Franklinville Rod & Gun Club.

Jacob Bell of Otto-Eldred and Colby O’Stricker were the only perfect scores with a 25 in the final round of match competition.

Bell shot a 141 for the best among the males and Glover recorded a 131 for the high gun among the females as Otto-Eldred shot a 1,062 for the top spot.

Second went to Randolph with a 1,040 with Morgan Kish having the high male gun with a 135 and Kylee Gower adding a 122 for high girl gun. Ryan Shipherd was the most improved.

Cuba-Rushford was third with a 1,036 as Tate Joseph shot a 139 for high male gun and Ambria Hopkins had a 105 for the top female gun. Serena Geary was the most improved.

Bolivar was next with 1,034. Dylan Hosley was the top male gun with a 136 and Charis Ruxton was the leading female gun.

Portville was fifth with 1,017 as Pete Stayer hit a 142 for the top male gun and Kelly Kamuth shot a 109 for the leading female gun.

Jerid Simmons had a 134 for the leading top male gun and Katie Pelonero had an 89 for the top girl gun as Holland had 1,005 points.

Oswayo Valley was at 997. Dakota Green had a 131 for the top male gun and Karley Carpenter record a 115 for the top female gun.

Franklinville was next at 967 with Hunter Irwin having the top male gun with 127 and Olivia Lynch had a 95 for the highest female gun.

Zachary Hubbard was the leading male gun with a 124 while Lia Johnson recorded a 104 for the top female gun as Cattaraugus-Little Valley had 933 points. Anthony Snyder was the most improved shooter.

Ellicottville had 924 points with Ethan Blank having a 130 for the top male gun and Elizabeth Jackson-Coolidge had a 114 for the leading female gun.

Tyler Schroeder had 133 points for the leading male gun and Hailey Swanson had a 78 for the top female gun as Pine Valley had 884 points.

Braeden Heverly had a 118 for the top male gun and Kali Learb a 77 for the leading female gun as Coudersport had 871 points.

Salamanca had 758 points with Hunter Stoltz having a 113 for the top male gun and Charlotte Fluent recording a 44 for the leading female gun.

Overall, the East Conference had 406 participants, including 69 females, which represents about 20 percent of the shooting field, and 337 males with the total scored on 32,977 targets.

Dalton Becker of Cassadaga Valley, Hayden Edwards of Frewsburg and Matthew Tutmaher of Chautauqua Lake each scored a perfect round of 25 in the West Conference midway point of the Southern Tier Youth Trap League.

Cassadaga Valley scored 187 points, Southwestern 166 points, Falconer 152 points and Maple Grove 148 points at Celoron Rod & Gun Club.

Frewsburg had 182 points at Carroll Rod & Gun Club while Chautauqua Lake and Sherman each had 167 points, Clymer had148 points, Brocton had146 points and Panama had 139 points at the Big Tree Sportman’s Club.
