Sophomore Derek Ecklund improved to 18-7 on the season to lead Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Panama to a 61-13 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 wrestling victory over Southwestern on Wednesday evening.

Ecklund, an honorable-mention selection at 132 pounds in the latest Wrestling Review of Western New York rankings, pinned the Trojans’ Gaven Dewey in 1:27.

Austin Bourgeois, the top-ranked 120-pounder in Western New York, improved to 17-8 for Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Panama (3-2, 3-1) with a pin in 1:34 over Jaiden Slagle.

Giuseppe Hoose, the No. 2 152-pounder in Western New York, improved to 24-1 for the Trojans (0-6, 0-5) with a 7-1 decision over Bryce Rowe.
