JAMESTOWN AREA MIDGET FOOTBALL LEAGUE

FLAG FOOTBALL

Cole Anderson hit Chase Lundberg with a touchdown pass and Lundberg converted the extra-point run as Westside Black edged Southside Blue, 7-6.

Joey Armeli caught a touchdown pass from Javontae Hampton for Blue.

Anderson led the winning defense with seven pulls while Nazayah Figueroa also stood out defensively for the winners.

For Southside, Giovannie Jackson and Kamryn Monroe stood out defensively.

Josh Piazza had two touchdowns runs and an interception for another six points when Westside Gold outlasted Northside White, 34-30.

Jordan Spencer and Noah Gonzalez scored the other touchdowns for Westside. Trayce Eggleston, Gonzalez, Piazza and Spencer ran in the conversions.

Defensively, Spencer, Piazza and Gonzalez were the standouts.

Tavion Goodlow ran in four touchdowns and had an interception return for another six-pointer in vain. Javon Grey ran for 45 yards while Angel Martines and Nicholas Near were defensive standouts.

Amari McGaughy, Jackson Grey and Blake Swanson hit paydirt as Southside White toppled Northside Red, 18-7.

Javion Barr scored the touchdown for Northside and Issiah Holland had the extra-point run.

Cooper Wilson and Jimmy Graves were the defensive standouts for the winners.

For Northside, Jose Luna and Ellyjah Anthony were the defensive standouts.

LAKE SHORE MIDGET FOOTBALL LEAGUE

ELLERY – The Southwestern jayvees moved their record to 3-0 by edging host Bemus Point, 16-14.

Lucas Gilbert scored on his first run, a 63-yard touchdown ramble, and Jameson Walsh ran in the two points for an 8-0 lead.

Walsh then hit Gilbert with a 23-yard scoring pass and connected with Chris Miller on the conversion.

Bemus Point scored late in the second quarter and again in the final minutes but failed to make the conversion either time. Matt Pannes stopped the runner attempting to make the conversion that would have tied the game.

Walsh sealed the victory with an interception that enabled Southwestern to run out the clock.

Pannes, Mitchell Pike and Henry Marshall combined for 29 tackles and two fumble recoveries. Matt Burlingame also had a fumble recovery for Southwestern.

JAMESTOWN AREA MIDGET FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Westside Panthers claimed victories in the varsity game, 12-0, the jayvee game, 29-6, and the modified game, 28-21, over the Southside Blue Devils.

Mason Chapman tossed two touchdown passes and wound up with 90 yards. Aiden Senear caught a 29-yard touchdown strike and Dominic Delaney another touchdown aerial for the Westside Varsity.

Delaney snared three passes for 37 yards and Isiah Sanchez contributed 30 yards rushing for the winners.

Defensive linemen Johnny Torres, Brandon Lobb and Douglas Beardsley had four tackles each.

Ty Schulz had 11 tackles and two sacks, Hakeen Pryce had a 40-yard interception return and Jack Lundberg recorded three tackles and caused a fumble.

In the jayvee game, Tyler Zwald had 93 yards rushing, two touchdowns, a conversion catch and a conversion run to lead Westside.

Mike Patric completed three passes and threw two 2-point conversion passes for the winners.

Carson Bane added 80 yards rushing and one touchdown and Nate Sanchez caught a 26-yard pass and a 2-point conversion while adding 27 yards rushing.

Thomas Pratton had 14 tackles and Cole Bloomquist had 13 to lead the Westside defense while Nick Martin caused a fumble and recovered it. Jericho Thagard had five stops while Justin Martin had four stops.

Nate Hill completed 7-of-8 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown while running for a 47-yard touchdown for the Westside modified.

Simeon Leeper had 100 yards receiving and scored on an 87-yard pass while Owen Maggio had 75 yards rushing and scored on a 65-yard jaunt.

Leeper had 11 tackles, Carter Eganski had 10 tackles and returned a fumble 9 yards for a touchdown. Markell Carter had five tackles, an interception and a forced fumble. Javonte Turner added three stops and a sack and Andre Horner had eight tackles while Calvin Ricker and Caleb Bane each added five tackles.

Westside hosts Fredonia on Saturday.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Westside Black defeated Westside Gold, 20-14.

Chase Lombardo threw a touchdown pass to Cole Anderson while the two also hooked up for a 2-point conversion pass. Nazayah Figueredo ran for a 25-yard touchdown in the win. Lombardo also returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. Figueredo, Anderson and Lombardo also led Westside Black in flag pulls.

Josh Piazza threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Karson Milne while the two also hooked up for the 2-point conversion. Jordan Spencer had a 35-yard touchdown run. Milne and Piazza led Westside Gold in flag pulls.

Midget Football

JAMESTOWN AREA LEAGUE

Sam Harrison rambled for 234 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Northside Varsity edged Dunkirk, 21-19, recently.

Jack Carlson also threw to Bishop Butts for a score and ran in the conversion for Northside.

The defense was led by Elijah Pagan, Anthony Mohney, Spencer Shirley, Nate Torres, Kain Torres and Kyrah Johnson.

For Dunkirk, Gio Pagan had two touchdowns and Adam Fred one while defensively it was Quanteer Nellard, Samuel Texidor and Shaun Vetter leading the way.

Travon Blakeslee gained 227 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns as the Northside modified team topped Dunkrk, 20-7.

Elijah Rojas had 50 yards rushing and two conversion runs for the winners.

Defensively, Crofoot, Rojas, Blakeslee, Bradberry, Cintron, Jones, Green and McGaughy led the way.

Stephen Carmona scored for Dunkirk, which had Angel Rios, Jackson Storey, Jamari Terry, Antonio Russell, Marcell Carter and Carmona stand out defensively.

Dalyan Bankoski scored twice, and Mike Sutherland, Jack Zentz and Jareese Gaines once each as the Dunkirk jayvees bested Northside, 36-19.

Donnie Jackson had two two-point conversions and Neymaniah Applewhite also had a two-point conversion for Dunkirk.

Standouts on defense were Jaylen McMichael, Nathan Garcia and Treatin Briggs in the win.

Xavier Foust ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. Foust also had an conversion.

Josiah Cruz, Speedy Serano and Nate and Zack Cornell stood out defensively in the defeat.

Southside took all three games from Fredonia by a 12-0 count in the jayvee game, 8-0 count in the varsity and 28-8 score in the modified game.

Noah Burch scored both touchdowns in the jayvee game on a 12-yard run and 5-yard run. Chase Bonta averaged 7.7 yards per carry en route to 77 yards in 10 carries.

Quarterback Dominic Weber had 55 yards in five rushes.

The defensive unit had seven players recording statistics and two fumble recoveries. Burch had four tackles, Bonta 3 tackles, Nathaniel Vandette 2 tackles, Weber two tackles and fumble recovery, Austion Fish a tackle and a fumble recovery, and Juelz DeJesus a tackle. They are plus-four in the turnover ratio this year.

Ryan Chapman scored his first touchdown and then caught a two-point conversion pass from Colin Melendez as the Southside Varsity took care of Fredonia.

Emmitt Maher recorded 5 tackles and made a touchdown-saving tackle in the fourth quarter. Draven DeJesus, Kyle Knisley, Brady Wetherby and Ja’Ron Mays all excelled defensively in the shutout win,

Ben Anderson was 7-of-9 for 102 yards and two touchdowns as Southside modified squad downed Fredonia.

Jason Ni caught six passes for 140 yards and 60-yard rushing touchdown in the win.

Jalon Butera had 20 carries for 106 yards and Kam Ron Mays two carries for 75 yards for Southside. Mays gained 75 yards in two carries with a 71-yard scoring touchdown burst and Yadiel Johnson rambled 18 yards for another score.

Defensively, Kameron Melendez made eight tackles and a caused fumble, Simon Howie had a fumble recovery and Anderson an interception.

The defensive unit stood out for Southside Blue Devils varsity in a 12-0 victory over Fredonia with eight players recording statistics.

Noah Burch scored from 5 and 12 yards and led the Southside defense with four tackles.

Chase Bonta, who rushed for a 7.7 yards per carry, made 3.5 tackles, Nathaniel Vendette had 2.5 tackles, Kyle Falkowski two tackles, Dominic Weber two tackles and a fumble recovery, Austin Fish a tackle and a fumble recovery, and Juelz DeJesus a tackle for the winners.

Ivan Hernandez and Weber caught two passes in the win while Weber rushed for 55 yards on five rushes.

Midget Football

JAMESTOWN AREA LEAGUE

The Northside Warriors took all three games from the West Side Panthers last Saturday.

In the jayvee game, Northside outlasted Westside, 31-29, with Carson Bane rushing for 66 yards on nine carries and having two touchdowns and three extra points.

Tyler Zwald had 119 yards on four carries and a touchdown, Cole Bloomquist 92 yards on four carries and a touchdown and Mike Patric threw two conversions in the win.

Defensively, Tommy Pratton made 8 tackles and Meyers 5 tackles for the winners.

Xavier Foust led Westside with 186 yards rushing with two touchdowns and an extra point, and Dante Lewis added three scores and 142 yards rushing and two conversions.

The defense for the Westside was led by Alberto Serrano, Terrell Reese, Julian Hultin and Stevie Tanner.

In the varsity encounter, Northside used a well-balanced attack to beat the Westside, 39-8.

Navaeh Holloman, Jack Carlson, Nate Torres and Sam Harrison all scored with Harrison hitting paydirt twice for the Northside.

Bishop Butts added a conversion while Harrison had two conversions and Malachi Biles caught a conversion pass for the Northside.

On defense, Kain Torres, Ison Shirley, Elijah Pagan and Anthony Mohney excelled in the win.

Aiden Senear scored for the Westside on a 28-yard pass while Ty Shults had six tackles, and John Torres and Quincy Pace each made 4 tackles.

In the modified game, Northside again was the winner by a 27-14 margin over Westside.

Travon Blakeslee scored two six-pointers and had 110 yards rushing, Dasai Bradberry added 90 yards rushing and Elijas Rojas 76 yards rushing for the Northside.

Rojas had two touchdowns, Bradberry and Demari Jones added conversions and Trey Drake had 50 yards passing in the victory.

On defense, Oshon Goodlow, Issac Cintron, Taylor Crofoot and Malachi Ocasio stood out for the Northside.

Nate Hill and Simeon Leeper scored for the Westside. Carter Eganski made 8 tackles, Markell Carter five and Josh Bush 4.

Midget Football

JUNIOR VARSITY

The Southwestern jayvee team took down Chautauqua Lake, 34-6.

Michael Butterfield found the endzone on just the second offensive play of the game from 50 yards out to give Southwestern an early lead.

Just minutes later, Southwestern scored again, courtesy of a 10-yard run from Lucas Gilbert, which was followed by a successful two-point conversion run from Declan Kennedy.

Bohden Wendel found paydirt on a 7-yard run and Butterfield scored again on a 15-yard run. Wendel finished the game with 68 yards on seven carries and two touchdowns.

Mitchel Pike and Austin Chase led the Trojans’ defense, combining for 19 tackles and forcing two fumbles.

Chautauqua Lake, which played hard the entire game, scored on a 60-yard run in the fourth quarter.
