Denny Corey hit a 50 to spark Kalbfus past Pine Grove, 340-337, to settle second place in the Warren County Trap League.

Brian Ecelberger, Cindy Cable and Jeff Gens fired 49s for Pine Grove.

Howard Arnold of Randolph and Blake Ristau of Carroll shot 50s in the Chautauqua County Trap League.

Arnold shot his 50 in Randolph’s 338-336 loss to Busti and Ristau had a 50 in Carroll’s 338-333 setback to Celoron.

Dick Starks and Rich Espin shot 49s to lead Busti while Rich Foster and Kevin Sturzenbecker also recorded 49s in Celoron’s win.

Arnold’s score was the high super senior veteran and Randolph teammate Tracie Carlson tied with Tiffany Decker of Busti for the high lady total with 40s.

Ristau’s score was the highest junior score while Carroll teammates Jim Nowacki and Mike Mackey tied with Jim Kestler Sr. of Busti for the high veteran scores with 48s.

Brayden Coleson of Carroll shot a 40 for high sub junior total while Dave Kingsley and Gary Johnson of Celoron drilled 48s for the highest senior veterans.

In Chautauqua County Trap League action Aug. 18, Randolph topped Busti, 348-343, and Celoron outshot Carroll, 341-334.

Perfect 50s were shot by Skip Frazier, Cal Benson, Rick Manning, Eric Schultz, Andrew Hvizdzak, Rob Graham, Scott McKotch, Kevin Sturzenbecker and Blake Ristau.

Ristau’s 50 for Carroll earned him high junior while Benson’s 50 for Randolph earned him high veteran. Randolph’s Tracie Carlson shot a 48 for high lady and Randolph’s Hayden Congdon fired a 49 for high sub junior. Randolph’s Howard Arnold and Celoron’s Russ Wingard shot 49s to tie for high super senior veteran while Celoron’s Jerry Willett was the high senior veteran with a 48.

In action on Aug. 11, Celoron edged Busti, 338-337, and Randolph got by Carroll, 335-332.

Paul McKotch and Jim Congdon had the only perfect 50s.

McKotch’s 50 for Busti earned him high super senior veteran while Tiffany Decker’s 49 for Busti earned her high lady. Dawson Diethrick’s 29 for Busti was good for high sub junior while Dominick Diethrick of Busti and Blake Ristau of Carroll tied for high junior with 48s. Mike Mackey of Carroll was the high veteran with a 49 and Celoron’s Dave Kingsley was high senior veteran with a 48.

In the final week of the Warren County Trap League, Brokenstraw topped Tidioute, 345-342; Pine Grove outgunned Sheffield, 344-335; Sugar Grove I got by Kalbfus, 343-341; and Corry outshot Sugar Grove II, 328-323.

Perfect 50s were shot by Zach Bush, Ed Haregsin, Dan Morris, Greg Nagurney, Dave Kingsley, Jack Hunt, Chris Kibbey and Rex Slocum. Pierce Landis had his first 25 straight.

Brokenstraw and Pine Grove ended up tied for the second-half title and will shoot off on Tuesday at Tidioute starting at 5 p.m.

Landis of Kalbfus was the high sub junior with a 48 and Sugar Grove I’s Kibbey was the high junior with his 50. Taylor Hansen of Tidioute and Ashley Walton of Corry were the high ladies with 48s while Slocum of Kalbfus was the high veteran with his 50. Kingsley’s 50 for Pine Grove was good for high senior veteran while Pine Grove’s Russ Wingard and Tidioute’s Jack Kostkas were high super senior veterans with 49s.

Busti’s Tiffany Decker wast the high lady with a 49 while Nowacki and Lee’s 50s were good for high veteran. High senior veteran went to Tidioute’s John Kanyuck and Sugar Grove II’s Tom Beck, who both had 49s, while Kostkas’ 50 for Tidioute was good for high super senior veteran.

Nine shooters had perfect 25s in the Western Chautauqua County Trap League for the week of July 27.

Cole Holthouse, Paul McKotch, Will Ortman, Cliff Hammer, Owen Jones and Terry Sanden all connected for 25s as Big Tree downed Ellery, 338-250.

Mike Cluchey, Kenton Knopp and Mac MacCauseland recorded 25s when Westfield stopped Ripley, 319-312.

For Big Tree, Holthouse, Ortman and McKotch led the way against Ellery with 49s. Ortman had the top sub veteran score and McKotch the top veteran score.

Jim Hutchinson had the top veteran score with a 48, Hammer the top senior veteran score with a 47, Cole Hammer the top junior total with a 45, Rapela and Val Holthouse the leading lady scores with a 41, and Kaci Sikora had a 16 for the top sub junior lady.

Rob Graham was high for Ellery with a 47 and Ron Harmon a 46 for the top sub veteran total.

Knopp, Lineman and MacCausland shot 48s to lead Westfield past Ripley.

Rose Corbran was the high lady with a 44, Larry Carter had a 44 for the top super senior veteran with a 44, Butch Ficarra the leading veteran with a 40, Travis Hollman the top sub junior with a 39, Caleb Sunday the top junior with a 32 and Bob Wright the top senior veteran with a 30 for Westfield.

For Ripley, Sid Meeder Sr. and Mike Boll Jr. had 47s to lead the way.

Sid Meeder Sr. had the top score among the senior veterans, Jim Carris a 42 for the top senior veteran score, Sheila Yokom the top lady with a 40, Bob Murray the top veteran with a 36, Cheyenne Meeder the top sub junior lady with a 36, Mike Boll Jr. the top junior with a 36 and Wyatt Meeder Jr. the top sub junior with a 34.
