Devin Moorhead, Chris Greiner and Jacob Toy of the Sherman Wildcats took home top football honors for Class DD.

Moorhead was the co-offensive player of the year with Justin Forster of Cattaraugus-Little Valley.

Greiner shared the defensive player of the year with Jacob Short of Panama while Toy and Zach Haller of Frewsburg were the co-linemen of the year.

Toy was named for the offensive line and Haller for the defensive line.

Terry Gray of Frewsburg was named coach of the year after his Bears defeated Cattaraugus-Little Valley, 33-0, for the Class DD championship at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Quarterback Dan Weaver of Pine Valley received the sportsmanship award and the Panthers received the team award.

Moorhead led Sherman with 992 yards on 144 carries for a 6.9 average, caught 13 passes for 126 yards and had 13 touchdowns, including 12 touchdown rushing, on the way to co-offensive player of the year with Forster.

Forster, a senior running back like Moorhead, had 1,024 yards and averaged almost six yards per carry and scored seven touchdowns for Cattaraugus-Little Valley (7-2).

Greiner, a senior linebacker for Sherman, had 85 tackles, three sacks en route to being the co-MVP on defense with Short.

Short had 108 tackles, 11 tackles for losses, four sacks for 35 yards and eight quarterback hurries for Panama. He is a three-year starter and never left the field.

Joining Moorhead and Toy on the first team offense are Sherman teammates quarterback Andrew Graham and tight end Dylan Scouten. On defense, Greiner made the first team.

Forster was joined on the first team offense by Cattaraugus-Little Valley teammates wide receiver Colt Agnew along with the linemen Damian Watts and Caleb Snow.

D.J. Stevens represented Cattaraugus-Little Valley on defense on the line.

Panama placed quarterback Bryce Payne and fullback Steve Enlow on the first team offense while Short and Dylan Mescall were on defense as linemen.

Offensive lineman Haller and tight end Garrett Steele represent Frewsburg on offense while on defense teammates linebackers Trevor Spicer and Nick Long made the first team.

Defensive back Peter Koop and linebacker Jamie Greiner of Franklinville along with linebackers Mitch Einink of Clymer and Talon Snyder of Pine Valley round out the first team defense.

The All-Academic Team nominations aer Jake Wilcox of Pine Valley, Jamie Greiner of Franklinville, Kyle Morton of Cattaraugus-Little Valley, Brady Collver of Frewsburg, Trevor Gleason of Sherman, Wyatt Jackson of Panama and Andrew Heil of Clymer.

All are seniors except for juniors Morton and Jackson and sophomore Collver.
