Trap Leagues

John Pearson and Brady Carl of Kalbfus, Dave Kingsley and Bob Faga of Pine Grove, Doug Sliker and Joel Stewart of Tidioute, Colton Black and Rick Espin of Sugar Grove I, C.J. Jones and Rich Lee of Brokenstraw and Reed Johnson of Sugar Grove II delivered perfect 50 scores in n the second week of the Warren County Trap League.

For Carl, this was the first 50 for the junior shooter.

Kingsley’s 50 was the highest for a veteran while Russ Wingard and Jerry Willett of Pine Grove, Jack Kostkas of Tidioute and Ralph Challingsworth of Sheffield had 49s for highest senior veteran totals.

Jim Stearns of Kalbfus hit a 49 for the top super senior veteran score. Kathy Gebhardt of Brokenstraw had a 46 for the highest lady total and Elijah Trawick of Sugar Grove I a 44 for the highest sub junior score.

In team results, Kalbfus downed Corry, 345-327; Pine Grove prevailed over Sugar Grove II, 344-338; Tidioute got past Sheffield, 344-338; and Brokenstraw nipped Sugar Grove I, 342-339.

The high lady was Sandy Rater with 46 while high juniors were Kayla Nededov and Andrew Hvizdzak, also with 46s. The high sub junior was Dalton Becker with 48. High vets were Knapp and Faga with 50s, and high senior vet was Wingard with his 50. The high super senior vet was Dallas with a 50.

Nathan Ottaway was the top junior with a 45, Larry Carter the leading senior veteran with a 42, Ray Biekert the top super senior veteran with a 41, Rose Corbran the high lady with a 40 and Paul Lamphere the top sub junior with a 36 for Westfield.

Mark Holthouse led Big Tree with a 48 while Ted Okerlund was the leading veteran with a 45, Cole Hammer was the top sub junior with a 41, Ted Okerlund was the top veteran with a 41 and Bruce Bouma was the leading super senior veteran with a 41.

Also for Big Tree, Viki Rapela was the top lady with a 38, Bob Gittere was the leading senior veteran with a 36 and Morgan Hammer was the top junior with a 34.

Ripley took Ellery, 310-301, as Dexter Gordon led the way with a 47.

In week six action from the Warren County Trap League, Tidioute edged Kalbfus, 346-344; Brokenstraw and Pine Grove tied at 346; Sugar Grove I tied Sugar Grove II at 340; and Corry downed Sheffield, 333-302.

Kalbfus maintains a one-point lead over Brokenstraw and Sugar Grove I heading into the last week of the first half.

Shooting perfect 50s were Jack Kostkas, Ken Anderson, Derek Dickson, Jim Nowacki, John Pearson, Ed McCullough, Zack Bush, Kassie Hollabaugh, Dan Morris, Russ Wingard, Cindy Cable, Eric Cecco, Ethan Black, Scott Currie and Zack Johnson.

Hollabaugh from Brokenstraw, who is a junior lady, had her first 25 and 50 straight while Cable from the Pine Grove team had her first 50 straight. Also, Jim Burdick from Brokenstraw and Mitchell Downs, a junior from Sugar Grove I, both had their first 25 straights.

The high sub junior was Elijah Trawick with 48, the high juniors were Hollabaugh, Bush and Cecco with 50s, Cable and Hollabaugh were the high ladies with 50, Anderson was the high vet with 50, Kostkas and Wingard were the high senior vets with 50 and Jim Stearns and Jim Hannon were the high super senior vets with 47s.
