A decade of Shades of Pink is a Legacy that Lives On
On behalf of the WCA Foundation, we are honored to celebrate the 10th and final year of the Shades of Pink Golf Tournament–a decade of compassion, generosity, and impact in our community.
Through the vision and dedication of Steve and Anne Sischo, this tournament has raised more than $100,000 to support cancer care at UPMC Chautauqua. Anne, a breast cancer survivor herself, wanted to help others facing cancer. Today, the Shades of Pink Golf Tournament has grown into a powerful community tradition–funding essential services such as mammograms, patient navigators who provide support, and critical equipment for UPMC Chautauqua.
As we mark this milestone year, the need for accessible, timely screenings continues to grow. Proceeds from this final tournament will support the expansion of the Mammography Department at UPMC Chautauqua, helping ensure more individuals have access to lifesaving, early detection.
While this tournament may be concluded, its impact will continue because of Anne Sischo’s Shades of Pink Fund, an endowment held at the WCA Foundation; her vision will sustain and grow this important work for years to come. This fund will continue to support underserved women and men in accessing mammograms and advance patient navigation services.
We are deeply grateful to Steve and Anne, and to each of you who have supported Shades of Pink over the past 10 years. Together, you have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many.
We all know someone we love who has been affected by cancer. Together, we can continue to be part of early detection efforts that save lives. If you would like to continue this important work, visit the wcafoundationjamestown.org and provide hope to those who are enduring the fight against breast cancer.
The Shades of Pink Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 7, at South Hills Country Club.
