Vote My Way, Or You’re Deranged
Regarding the metamorphic dog story it did not go over everyone’s head. It was a bit adolescent but no one is perfect.
I have not written an article lately because quite frankly I am very disappointed in the way my fellow Americans have reacted to the last election. One of my past friends even called me an idiot for voting for Trump. She was of course among the minority of people who voted for Kamala Harris. So, if you voted for President Trump you are an idiot.
I haven’t witnessed such hatred and propaganda about an election since the Third Reich. Get a grip on yourself. The most egregious thing you can do is criticize how someone votes and call them in a roundabout way deranged. I don’t know why I even respond to such ridiculous articles. Just deranged I guess.
Let me get this straight. We have an election for a president of The United States. Trump wins by a record majority. It was a landslide victory from the voting public. Too bad you don’t want to be a part of it. What makes you think it’s OK to call people names because of the way they voted? What makes you think you are so privileged to do that? What makes you think that you are so much more intelligent than the voters. What makes you think you know what is good for all of us. What makes you think period?
So wake up and grow up and quit calling voters you don’t agree with childish names. I don’t go around calling you folks a bunch of losers. I am comfortable with my vote and there is nothing you can do to make me regret it or embarrass me.
Instead of letting us know how much you hate President Trump, tell us the reasons why. When you start using names like deranged you are telling the voters they are deranged. I have friends who did not vote for president Trump and I don’t call them deranged. And while you are at it please tell us how much you loved President Biden and why Kamala Harris would be a great president. That would be the intelligent thing to do.
You do not have the right to disrespectfully criticize and call people names because you didn’t like the outcome of an election. It is fair to contact your representatives and state your opinion, that is fair play. However when individuals start throwing around insults like an eighth grader it gets quite concerning.
If we go back to when George Washington was president (February 22, 1732) and count the number of Republican and Democrat presidents up to this point you will find they are almost split 50/50. Kind of ironic don’t you think?
George Washington (February 22,1732-December 14, 1799) was a founding father and the first president of the United States. The average annual wage at that time was $64. Fast forward to today. A family of four earning $50,000 annually cannot make it with one partner working. Both partners must be gainfully employed chasing the American Dream. Those who understand the economics of raising a family are having fewer children because they cannot afford to have more.
Dock workers, hospital workers, fire departments, police departments, school teachers, factory workers all want increases, Others want repatriation money given to them. Many want more government handouts. Some want free college tuition. Others want free money in terms of welfare. It’s an incessant chain of events that will ultimately have serious consequences. This will be going on in perpetuity until something catastrophic happens. The government is not the answer.
There is loss of patriotism. Some educators believe our political system is broken. Our values have hit rock bottom. Our education system is turning out sub standard students. We are imploding from within and there is not a damn thing that we can do about it because we are not united. There are scholars who are convinced that the US cannot divert bankruptcy because of current spending trends. It is not a question of if any more. It’s a question of when. The government is not answering.
So, who are you going to blame now, the Republicans, or Democrats? Remember, both presidential parties have been in power in our country 50 percent of the time.
President Ronald Reagan (Republican January 20, 1981 and ending January 20, 1989) summed it up eloquently when he said “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”
