“She made the problem visible,” said a commentator on TV regarding Dr. Claudine Gay before she resigned from Harvard as President. She’s no longer president, but the problem lingers. The lingering problem stems from uprooting the original intent of the institution expressed in its early motto saying, “Truth for Christ and the Church.” Gone is the original reliance on biblical revelation for truth and taking its place is faith in finite fallible human reasoning.

With Dr. Gay gone as president, nothing respecting Harvard’s original intent has been restored. Making the Gay issue go away doesn’t keep what’s really the problem from going with her.

With Gay gone, is DEI gone too? With Gay gone, did cultural Marxism go with her? With Gay gone, has anti-Semitism been rooted out or just re-rooted underground?

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion remain, leaving the door wide open for males masquerading as females to embarrass, beat and injure them in their sports, not to mention scholarships and championships swiped from them as well. Add to this gender identity fraud, terrorism and plagiarism can be excused and redefined if the offenders fit the profile of a victim in the eyes of the cultural Marxists.

With Gay gone, does being judged by the content of your character according to Martin Luther King matter more than the color of your skin according to Critical Race Theory?

With her gone, has the number of conservative to liberal professors become equalized?”

With her gone, is the objective reality of truth elevated above truth as a mere social construct of white supremacy?

With her gone, does a person saying that the Bible has authority over matters pertaining to sex, gender and sexual relations get the same affirmation as a male demanding compliance to his preferred pronoun of “she” or a female demanding her’s be “they?”

With Gay gone, will “2 genders and only 2” be as cancel-free as “Men menstruate?”

With her gone, is evolution-believing Harvard Medical School rejecting the fantasy that girls can be made into boys and men can give birth?

Gone is Gay’s million dollar salary as president, but her salary of $900,000 as a plagiarizing soft-on-anti-Semitism professor stays.

On the one hand, I have compassion for her, but on the other hand, she didn’t help herself by blaming “racial animus” in her resignation letter.

As she went, Gay stated, “This was merely a single skirmish in a broader war to unravel public faith in pillars of American society.” That unraveled faith started long before she was gone as president as she foolishly followed in the footsteps of those ranking man’s reason above God’s revelation.

Even with Gay gone, Ivy League schools look more like menacing institutions spreading “poison ivy” to all levels of education everywhere including Chautauqua county.

Given the choice, better to have Gay stay with the rest of Harvard truly in pursuit of the original motto for truth than to have her gone with DEI, cultural Marxism, and post-modern pop psychology staying put.
