To The Readers’ Forum:

Roughly one year is gone – only three more of the Trump administration to go! (Thank goodness!) But what a year this has been! First, I’ll give you the “bad” news. “Normal” has left the building!

“Project 2025” has become the tool, the blueprint, of conservatives and Trump. Roughly10% of the federal workforce has been fired by Trump, and various agencies of the federal government, from the Education Department to Health & Human Services to the Consumer Protection Agency, to name but a few, have been decimated or abolished – many more people have been furloughed. Agency Inspector Generals have been fired so there is little accountability. Instead of finding and deporting “illegal aliens” known to be “the worst of the worst”, “ICE” agents have rounded up hard working mothers and fathers, and others, whose only “crime”, considered misdemeanors, is to enter the U.S. “illegally”. Various units of the National Guard have been determined to be illegally deployed and sent back to their states.

Trump and his family are “grifters”, hawking several different “products” for their own benefit – from “bitcoins” to “Gold Cards” to whatever! In my opinion, the ONLY reason he ran as a successful presidential candidate is to avoid jail! Now, America is paying the “price”!

The American economy is in disarray from tariffs, which are taxes on Americans, to “reciprocal” tariffs that hurt farmers and lead to uncertainty for manufacturers to sell products abroad. Trump has failed to show any foreign investment in America. Trump has reduced taxes for millionaires and billionaires at the same time costs for average Americans are going up! There is no Republican healthcare plan! Millions of Americans will see health insurance premiums skyrocket. Once Medicaid reductions take effect in January 2027, politically after the midterm elections, millions more Americans will lose benefits!

The so-called Supreme Court is, essentially, on Trump’s side. They gave him immunity from prosecution “on the job” and are Trump’s court of last resort. We’ll see how the Supreme Court rules against the lower courts, as I expect they will.

Beyond that, Trump has destroyed the East Wing of the White House, is building a “ballroom” larger than the White House itself and paved over the “Rose Garden” – all for himself and his cronies.

BTW, tell Rep. Langworthy to hold in-person “town halls” and stop “hiding” behind a telephone!

Second, there is no good news, that is unless you’re a billionaire or millionaire!
