Little Theater’s ‘12 Angry Men’ Was Well Done

Our own Lucille Ball Little Theater of Jamestown, hosts some extremely worthy and important plays for our cultural advancement. I recently attended the presentation of “12 Angry Men” – Great

Production!!! The actors each certainly portrayed their characters well. I am still contemplating the outcome as it most assuredly leaves one questioning. They were so angry in the beginning and so adamant that the (?) Perpetrator (?) was guilty. I was not comfortable with the “Let’s get out of here early” attitude of one of the “jurors” as the play opened. However, as the evening progressed they each took a turn at deciphering the evidence and in the end–well–they did their job! “The people” can rest as the jury took their duties and personal dilemmas seriously as they deliberated with impeccable thought and presented with some excellent acting. I trust that those who viewed this portrayal of a murder trial are with me, as we were seated in the “theater-in-the-round” stage setting, and have all come away with a new perspective to the court system and jury duty. It was eye opening to those of us who have as yet to encounter the possibility and responsibility of serving as a juror.

I am told this has been played prior to this past 2 week engagement and I certainly hope it will come around again in due time. Girls, they didn’t leave you out as Danger Russ, one little lady actress, was truly excellent in the part of one angry man.
