I’m truly amazed that evangelical Christians are willing to vote for the convicted felon, Donald Trump. Have they somehow forgotten their religion, morals and ethics?

Besides his numerous felonious crimes, Trump is a convicted sex offender, a xenophobe, a misogynist, a racist, a philanderer, a fraud, and most of all, a serial liar. And before his son was a year old, he was having an affair with a porn star. How’s that for a list of minor transgressions?

I was raised United Methodist, and I’ve been devout in my religious convictions since the time I was a child. In Sunday school, I was taught The Ten Commandments and that it’s wrong to commit sins against thy neighbors. Maybe evangelicals need some remedial lessons in Biblical scripture as it applies to Trump’s deplorable misconduct. Let’s start with Deuteronomy 25:16: “For all who do such things, all who behave unrighteously, are an abomination to the Lord your God.” Does that sound like someone who should hold the highest office in the land?

If you’re Roman Catholic, you’ve surely realized that Trump is the poster boy for The Seven Deadly Sins. Greed, pride, envy, gluttony, wrath, sloth and lust are all words that pertain to the substance on Donald’s resume. And worst of all, he takes great pride in every one of his sins, crimes, scandals and corruptions.

And now, he has the gall to hawk 60-dollar Bibles to his misguided fanatics. Trump has never read the Bible, he’s proven that he can’t recite a single verse it contains, and I doubt he’s ever said a prayer in his long, miserable life. I would rather chew broken glass than vote for a criminal, an imbecile and a clown.

I’ll leave you with a passage from Revelation 6:8 which is a perfect summation of Trump’s candidacy for president: “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him…”
