To The Reader’s Forum:

Senator Lindsey Graham, a former officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, warned that there would be “riots in the streets” if former President Trump is prosecuted for his mishandling of highly classified materials found in his beach resort that had previously been infiltrated by foreign nationals.

Dear Senator Graham, Republicans have already rioted in the streets because they simply did not like the results of a free and fair election. The Republican Party is now so extremist, so far out on the right wing fringe that they threaten violence if they don’t get their way.

I might remind Mr. Graham that he swore an oath to defend the Constitution when commissioned as an Air Force officer and swore it again when elected to the Senate. The senator should do his duty to the country and help determine why Mr. Trump illegally took classified documents, what he planned to do with them, who else handled the classified documents, and how our national security may have been harmed rather than threatening violence if the Justice Department does its duty to answer those questions.
