A Call For Reed To Take Action Against Trump

To The Reader’s Forum:

Congressman Tom Reed is apparently considering a run for governor against Andrew Cuomo, according to news articles.

It is hard to believe that a Republican living out on the Southern Tier could unseat Cuomo in our heavily Democratic state.

Rather than tilting at windmills, Congressman Reed could leave his mark if he called out the former president for his role in instigating the Jan. 6 insurrection in the Capitol. That riot led to hundreds of injuries and the deaths of three policemen.

Reed needs to take action and uphold our Constitution in the face of the club-wielding mob stirred to action by the former president.
