Committee Expresses Sincere ‘Thank You’

To The Reader’s Forum:

On behalf of the Journey to Active Aging Workshop & Luncheon committee a sincere thank you for making our 11th annual event a huge success. We enjoyed a delicious lunch compliments of Meals on Wheels, received many door prizes from our valued vendors and gathered with friends.

During our program, Dr. Christopher Hayes educated us about what we should be asking our doctors and telling our doctors, a wealth of amazing adventures awaits in one of the many classes at Jamestown Community College, Alzheimer’s disease – caregiver support: you are not alone, the National Comedy Center – laughing out loud in your own backyard, falls prevention because falling does not have to be a part of aging with Chautauqua Physical & Occupational Therapy, meeting the new sheriff in town – Jim Quattrone and we laughed and laughed with Caren Kolerski and her Laughter Yoga program!

Our committee worked very hard to bring you a program that was useful and fun. We had a record number of people attend our event this year and heard nothing but positive comments so, look for us again next year. Check out our new Facebook page. As always, stay active, stay well and stay connected to your community. When you need help with something, reach out. We have many wonderful services to enhance your life. We appreciate each and every one of you for your part in building a lovely hometown for all of us to embrace. Thank you!

See you next year!
