Community Shoud Be Proud For Contributions

To The Reader’s Forum:

I attended the awards night ceremony at JHS a few nights ago.

Sally Black and I, representing the class of 1950 awarded two $1,500 scholarships with a possibility of two more in a like amount to the recipients. Several other classes have followed our lead, and established their own programs. We followed several others who announced the recipients of their own scholarships. Then Lisa Lynde, representing the CRCF announced a long list of winners.

The number of dollars that go out of that auditorium at the end of the evening is astounding. The Jamestown community should be proud.
