Miss America Ratings Could ‘Dip’ Without Swimsuits

For years I’ve been saying you can’t make a joke any more. Reality is more outrageous than anything you can dream up.
Ignoring my own advice I’ve joked that I’m so conservative that I follow the Miss America Contest on radio. Today I heard that the Miss America contest “will no longer include a swimsuit competition. The women will not be judged on their appearance.”
Perhaps they will all receive a self-esteem ribbon or be awarded points for political correctness. That should be a ratings bonanza.
