Reader Worries Over Growth Of Carmaker
To The Reader’s Forum:
Chinese carmaker Geely has purchased a $9 billion stake in Germany’s Daimler Mercedes Benz. They already acquired Volvo for its car division. Li Shafu is the chairman and main owner of Chinese carmaker Geely. Zhejiang Geely owns Volvo cars as well as the maker of London’s Black Taxi Cabs. Last year, Geely acquired a 49.9 percent stake in Malaysian automaker Proton.
Geely’s recently commissioned a factory in Belarus which will target the vast Russian market. Next, we could yap about the trillion dollar belt and road Chinese initiative or how about the up-and-coming gold back RMB Chinese oil trade note. Can you say, “Bye-bye petro dollar?”
The list is endless on how China and the BRICS nations are eating the economic lunch of the U.S.A. So what’s my point. Stop with the tabloid nonsense and get off President Trump’s back. We have major issues to work out.
