SPLC Not To Be Trusted
To The Reader’s Forum:
Recently, it was implied that Americans should rely on the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for their analysis of any and all events. In reality, no American, at least those who love God, country, family, truth, law and order, and liberty shold give the SPLC the slightest credence.
The SPLC is responsible for inspiring the crazed gun attack at the offices of the Family Research Council, Washington, D.C., in August 2012. Fortunately, the FRC security guard prevented murders, though he was injured with a bullet wound. The shooter chose his target from the SPLC’s hate map. This is law and order?
In another incident, Representative Steve Scalise, at the Republican baseball practice in June 2017, was seriously wounded by James Hodgkinson, another follower of SPLC. This is law and order?
The SPLC undoubtedly had an auspicious founding under the auspices of the Southern Baptist demonination in 1971. What happened to its excellent mooring? It gave it up, instead promoting hatred against superb organizations. It now calls good evil, and evil it calls good. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.
The SPLC has filed a wrongful lawsuit against Liberty Council and its director, Matt Staver, a quality man. In response to labeling a host of ministries as being hateful, the D. James Kennedy Ministries has filed a lawsuit against the SPLC. And petitions are being filed with Congressman Trey Gowdy, chairman of the Government Oversight Committee, to conduct a much-needed investigation of SPLC. Maybe the FBI should also investigate SPLC?
