Reader Thankful To Mayville First Responders
To The Reader’s Forum:
Thank you to the dedicated first responders of the Mayville Volunteer Fire Department for their immediate professional response when live electrical wires dropped onto Valley Street Saturday night (Sept. 30). The firefighters, rescue squad and fire police all knew their roles and worked together throughout the dark and cold evening. The wires popped and sizzled and they stayed to coordinate with the Mayville DPW.
Thank you also to the DPW road crew and electricians who are trained to resolve these life-threatening situations. They stayed until after 1 a.m to restore power and clean up the road.
