To The Reader’s Forum:

I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to the entire Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet program for its outstanding Spring Gala held on June 17 at the Reg Lenna Civic Center. I was one of the fortunate members of the audience that evening. Artistic Director, Monika Alch, Executive Director, Elizabeth Bush and all faculty members should feel extremely proud of their program and its students. The musical selections were outstanding. The choreography was perfectly suited to each dancer’s level and they performed with confidence, beauty and grace.

I have watched this program grow into a true gem for our community that could rival any other program in a much larger city. If you have not seen a performance, you are missing something truly special. The program announced their dancers will be performing at Chautauqua Institution for free on Tuesday, August 15 at 6 p.m. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a beautiful ballet performance. To all the dancers, teachers, assistants, volunteers and parents I offer a resounding “Bravo.”
