Camp Director Thankful For Rotary’s Garden Tour
To The Reader’s Forum:
Many thanks to the Greater Jamestown AM Rotary for holding the second annual Lakewood Garden Tour to benefit Royal Family KIDS’ Camp on Saturday, July 22. Despite a few raindrops, the day was a success! I can’t begin to thank the AM Rotarians enough for their efforts and hard work on behalf of the campers we serve. Special thanks also goes to the residential property owners who opened up their gorgeous gardens and allowed others to visit and see the fruits of their labor. Your green thumbs amaze me!
Along with the admission from the wonderful folks who came to walk through the beautiful gardens, Royal Family Kids’ Camp also received many generous donations from community members and fellow Rotarians at this event. What a blessing the people of this community are!
This one-week summer camp program relies solely on donations to cover its operational costs and would not be able to minister to some of Chautauqua County’s neediest children without the support of this community. Area churches, businesses, individuals, and organizations like the AM Rotary are the ones to bring the hope of a better future to many area children. Thanks to all who help us give the royal treatment to those who deserve it most! A special thank you also goes out to Chautauqua Hydroseeding for being a corporate sponsor of the Lakewood Garden Tour. You know what they say…it takes a village.
Feeling blessed,
