Since the worst part of the winter and early spring weather is almost over, maybe it is time to take a look at your American flag that you proudly display. I have noticed that there are a lot of them in poor condition. If it is faded, tattered beyond repair,or dirty beyond cleaning, please think about replacing it. If you are going to do so, why not buy American made? You can purchase American made flags at several local stores including: K-Mart, Valu Home Center, Michaels, Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot, Lowes and Wal-Mart. You can dispose of your worn out flags at a local VFW or an American Legion.

Maybe you can convince your neighbors to join you in displaying a flag if they currently do not. According to ABC7Chicago.com, New York is ranked 33rd out of the 50 states for showing patriotism.

Maybe just here in Chautauqua County we could try to prove them wrong! Please consider buying a flag, no matter how big or small and flying it proudly. What a great sight it would be to see them on Memorial Day waving in proud rememberance of those who died while serving in our country’s Armed Forces. Please considering this as a way of showing that you are proud to be an American.
