There Is A Huge Cloud Of Suspicion Over Trump
To The Reader’s Forum:
Donald Trump stopped being just a private citizen when he declared his candidacy for president.
His credibility has always been in question but was starkly challenged when he paid $25 million to settle a fraud case. There is a huge cloud of suspicion over his administrations suspected ties with the Russian government which needs to be independently investigated. There is a huge cloud of suspicion over this conflicts of interest and the distance he has placed between his businesses and the Office of the President. His integrity and ability to fairly revise the tax code are in question because of his tacit admission of not paying federal income taxes.
For these reasons and for the good of the nation the House Ways and Means Committee needs to examine his tax returns to put aside all doubt. I call on Mr. Reed to join several fellow republicans and many democrats who feel that the national interests outweigh those of citizen Trump.
