To The Reader’s Forum:

I started to read the letter by Mr. and Mrs. Pfaff, and my mouth dropped open. Never have I read something from someone so obviously hypnotized by Fox News and the Trump machine as the authors. They have bought the propaganda hook, line, and sinker. Let me count the ways:

1. The voters did not reject the Democrats. I will remind the writers that there were almost 3 million more votes for Hillary than for Trump. There were many curious things that happened. In Florida about 113,000 voters wrote in names like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Trump carried Florida by about the same number.

2. The protests that are “not good for our country” are, in fact, protected by the Constitution. They are the bread and butter of our democracy.

3. What really caught my eye was their repetition of the old lies about the Clintons trashing the White House. How could anybody believe that stuff?

4. They don’t realize, and probably never would accept or understand, that it is not the media that lies, but their Demi-god, the Donald. He can’t seem to keep his hand off the Twitter button, and it is either to bully someone, or to lie about something.

5. Trump’s ban on immigration was overturned by a court of law. How they assume the authority to overrule a court is beyond my comprehension.

6. Some of those terrible immigrants had green cards or visas, or were returning to their families.

If their understanding of the facts is widespread among the people, I fear for our country.
