My dear friend and I embraced our front row seats at the Reg Lenna’s production “The Wonder Bread Years” featuring Pat Hazell. What a joyful ride down our collective childhood memory lane complete with jingles of popular products (Wonder Bread, Velveeta, Spam) highlighting funny things we used to think and do; waxing the playground slide with the waxed paper your mom packed your sandwich in and making Kool-Aid with three times the amount of sugar recommended, choosing a Halloween costume complete with a hard plastic mask making breathing a challenge, and sizing up each house based on the premier candy given to trick-or-treaters vs. fresh fruit.

This show was very well done and a lovely example of how true comedy does not need to be laced with profanity.

Bravo to the Reg Lenna for bringing this quality entertainment to our community. If you have not been to “The Reg” recently, check their website and Facebook page and enjoy the thrill of a fine movie or live performance in this Jamestown treasure.
